Professor Janet Smith is the leading English language expert on Humanae Vitae and a renowned writer and speaker. She has never considered herself a “Traditionalist” but has come to love the Extraordinary Form Traditional Latin Mass.  Recently retired as a professor from the Sacred Heart major seminary in Detroit she has some vital insights into the July 16, 2021 motu proprio Traditionis Custodes.

You're not going to hear this line of thinking anywhere else.

In this Interview You Will Learn

  • The odd timing of the motu proprio
  •  Some reasons why the Traditional Latin Mass is the antithesis of the goals of this  papacy
  • The red pilling process that takes place when you begin to attend the Latin Mass
  • Beginner's suggestions for the Latin Mass
  • Why the motu proprio represents the attempt at a full break from sacred Tradition
  • The hard position into which lay people are put and how to move forward
  • Proof that the attack on Tradition began under Paul VI

This is about the cover-up of sexual perversion, grooming, and the spiritual abuse of vulnerable seminarians. It’s not rare for a seminarian to be ousted from a seminary for bogus reasons, which can further result in the loss of a vocation because of corrupt Church bureaucrats.  What is rare is when a seminarian decides to push back and fight the corruption in the courts.

Enter the courageous Anthony Gorgia, represented by New York attorney Raymond Belair who joins me for this week's important episode of The Patrick Coffin Show.

POINTS COVERED

  • There is no substitute for the vital connection between the ideas of an author and the mind of a reader.
  • According to Mortimer Adler, an author is like the pitcher, and he's throwing balls at you the catcher-reader with each sentence, each paragraph, each chapter.  To properly engage a pitcher, a catcher can't crouch there passively because he'll either get hit by a fastball -- or a curveball will miss him altogether.

Michael Voris leads a 60+ team at Church Militant, which grows by the week. There is no controversy, no taboo topic, and no deference to the religious office for its own sake that Voris fears to confront. The four-time regional Emmy Award winner parlayed an education at Notre Dame and an STD degree from Rome online into a mighty Catholic lay apostolate. Don’t like his tone? “Boo-hoo,” he retorts.

Mike Dowe has hundreds of stories about years as a prisoner of war in a communist prison camp. Dowe was a POW in a brutal camp north of the Yalu River in North Korea during the Korean conflict. His memories are vivid and unusually detailed.

The stories he loves to tell the most are about the priest he credits with keeping him (Dowe) and many hundreds of others alive during their unimaginable years of trial and deprivation at the hands of the communists.
